What you will do:

• Dispense methadone to patients enrolled in treatment programmes, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to safety protocols.

• Maintain and supervise patient medication records, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate.

• Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to review medication regimens and provide recommendations.

• Offer advice and guidance to patients, supporting understanding of their treatment plans and goals.

• Manage stock control, ensuring correct storage, handling, and accountability of methadone supplies.

• Provide cover across required sites on a pro-rata basis, ensuring consistent and reliable service delivery.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician is essential.

• Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification is required.

• Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician qualification is desirable.

• Experience in oncology is desirable but not essential.

• Must hold current HCPC registration.

• No driving requirement for this role.
