Adult Learning Tutor (ESOL)
Location: Chichester – with opportunity to work from Littlehampton
Contract: 6 Weeks
Hours: 18 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: £16.89 per hour PAYE

Seven Resourcing is currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Learning Tutor to join an Adult Learning team in Chichester on a 6-week contract. This part-time opportunity is ideal for a qualified tutor with proven experience delivering ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programmes and accredited qualifications.

The Role

As an Adult Learning Tutor, you will deliver engaging and structured ESOL provision to adult learners, supporting them to achieve recognised qualifications and develop skills for employment, independence, and community participation.

Working within the Adult Learning team and reporting to a Programme Officer, you will collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners to maximise participation and ensure high-quality learning outcomes.

• Learning for Health and Wellbeing
• Learning for Enrichment and Personal Interest

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality ESOL sessions tailored to adult learners
• Deliver accredited qualifications in line with awarding body standards
• Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate and compliant learner records
• Promote inclusive and supportive learning environments
• Encourage learner progression into further education, training, or employment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations
• Ensure safeguarding, equality, and health and safety standards are upheld

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience delivering ESOL programmes
• Experience delivering accredited qualifications
• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Award in Education and Training or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to engage learners from diverse backgrounds
