Adult Learning Tutor (ESOL)
Location: Horsham, West Sussex (County Hall North)
Contract: 9 Weeks
Hours: 30 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: £16.89 per hour PAYE

Seven Resourcing is currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Learning Tutor to join an Adult Learning team in Horsham on a 9-week contract. This role is ideal for a qualified tutor with proven experience delivering ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programmes and accredited qualifications.

The Role

As an Adult Learning Tutor, you will deliver high-quality ESOL teaching and accredited courses, supporting adult learners from diverse backgrounds to achieve recognised qualifications and improve their confidence, independence, and employability.

Working under the guidance of a Programme Officer, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure learners receive a supportive and engaging educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ESOL sessions tailored to adult learners
• Deliver accredited qualifications in line with awarding body requirements
• Assess learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate learner records and complete required documentation
• Support learners to achieve outcomes linked to employment, life skills, family support, health, and personal development
• Promote inclusive learning environments that support diverse needs
• Work in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders to maximise learner participation
• Ensure safeguarding and health and safety standards are upheld

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience delivering ESOL programmes
• Experience delivering accredited qualifications
• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Level 3/4 Award in Education and Training or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to engage and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds
