What you will do:

• Assist the SUM and Team Manager in organising managing and supervising social care services staff in the mental health team.
• Contribute to strategic planning and management of the service and develop high-quality services.
• Ensure the team performs its functions effectively in line with legislation regulations and local procedures.
• Strive for continuous improvement based on service user views performance data and stakeholder feedback.
• Assist in the management of the team in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the management team to support staff and implement the department's supervision policy.
• Address staff welfare matters in line with adult social care practices and policies.
• Ensure the induction of new staff aligns with adult social care policies.
• Evaluate and action the training needs of the team following the Departmental Training Strategy.
• Adhere to human resource guidelines in recruitment, disciplinary procedures, equal opportunities and more.
• Champion a person-centred approach in line with the Care Act meeting statutory requirements.
• Lead integrated teams with health colleagues fostering strong partnerships for streamlined efficient care.
• Provide effective management and oversight of the team's budget aligning with strategic saving targets.

Requirements of the Team Manager:

• Degree or equivalent in social work
• Current Social Work England registration
• Recent managerial experience at various hierarchical levels such as TM DTM or ATM
• Significant frontline experience within Adults Services is essential
