What you will do

• Supervise the daily policy and service implementation within the Blood Sciences Department and Haematology/Blood Transfusion Service, ensuring the delivery of a top-tier Pathology service.
• Serve as an active member of the Haematology and Blood Transfusion Supervisory Team, collaborating with colleagues to enhance service quality.
• Organise and manage the technical and scientific operations, providing guidance and training to junior staff for continuous service improvement.
• Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Support the broader organisational goals of Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust by contributing to innovative practices within Blood Sciences.
