What you will do:

• Perform a wide range of MRI examinations in accordance with departmental protocols, professional standards, and patient safety requirements.

• Assess referrals and clinical information to ensure appropriate imaging pathways and optimise diagnostic quality.

• Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R regulations, MRI safety standards, infection prevention policies, and NHS governance requirements.

• Provide compassionate, patient-focused care, supporting individuals who may be anxious, claustrophobic, or require additional assistance during imaging procedures.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography

  • Postgraduate training or experience in MRI imaging

  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to MRI practice

• Registration & Compliance:

  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Radiographer

  • Knowledge of IR(ME)R regulations, MRI safety guidance, and NHS clinical governance standards

  • Understanding of infection prevention, patient consent, and data protection requirements
