What you will do:

• Participate efficiently in the provision of an effective Molecular Diagnostics service within Surrey and Berkshire Pathology Services
• Prepare samples while executing both routine and advanced techniques that maintain the high standard of our service
• Conduct initial screening and analysis of diagnostic tests, producing complex results crucial for patient treatment and care
• Be a part of a comprehensive diagnostic service across various scientific disciplines
• Work closely with your line manager, delivering top-notch protocol-based technical service under the guidance of registered Biomedical Scientist staff
• Communicate effectively with hospital clinicians, general practitioners, healthcare professionals, and patients as well as with commercial suppliers
• Operate sophisticated laboratory equipment and perform scientific techniques with minimal supervision
• Handle body fluids and high-risk specimens carefully and report results in line with departmental protocols
