Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf
Pay Rate: PAYE £22.20 per hour / Umbrella £29.16 per hour
Job Type: Temporary
Contract Length: Until August 2026
Hours: 37 hours per week
Seven Resourcing is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join a Disabled Children’s Service within a supportive Community Services team in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Children’s Social Worker with experience in disability services, assessments, and early intervention work. The successful candidate will join the 0–11 Team, supporting children with lifelong, permanent, and substantial disabilities and their families.
The Role
As a Social Worker within the Disabled Children’s Service, you will undertake eligibility assessments for ongoing support and intervention. This is a non-case holding social work role, allowing you to focus on assessment work and partnership collaboration with families and professionals.
You will work closely with key agencies including health services, education providers, and wider support networks to ensure children and families receive appropriate services and support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking eligibility assessments for disabled children and families
- Working collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and health professionals
- Supporting early intervention and preventative work
- Assessing needs and identifying appropriate support services
- Completing reports, assessments, and documentation accurately
- Promoting child-centred and family-focused practice
- Contributing to multi-agency meetings and planning processes
- Ensuring practice aligns with safeguarding procedures and legislation
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England or Social Care Wales registration
- Experience working within Children’s Services or Disabled Children’s Services
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
