Senior Social Worker – Adult Services
Location: Rhyl, Denbighshire
Pay Rate: PAYE £33.00 per hour / Umbrella £44.39 per hour
Contract Length: 90 Days
Start Date: June 2026

Seven Resourcing is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a busy Adult Services team in Rhyl, Denbighshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled qualified social worker seeking a rewarding locum social work role within Adult Social Care.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality social work support to adults and their families, helping individuals achieve positive outcomes while promoting independence, resilience, and person-centred practice.

The Role

As a Senior Social Worker within Adult Services, you will work closely with adults, carers, families, and partner agencies to assess needs, manage risk, and coordinate effective support plans. You will play a key role in safeguarding vulnerable adults while supporting individuals to make informed choices about their lives and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing complex adult social care cases
Completing Care Act assessments, reviews, and support plans
Undertaking safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments
Promoting independence and strength-based practice
Supporting adults and families to achieve positive outcomes
Working collaboratively with health professionals and multi-agency partners
Providing guidance and support to less experienced staff where required
Maintaining accurate case records and reports in line with legislation and policy
Developing an understanding of the local community and its health and social care needs to inform practice

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with Social Care Wales registration
Previous experience within Adult Social Care
Experience managing complex cases within a local authority setting
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Care Act legislation, and person-centred practice
Excellent assessment, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
