What you will do:

Undertake statutory safeguarding enquiries in accordance with the Care Act 2014, responding to concerns of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and harm.

Conduct comprehensive safeguarding assessments to identify risks and determine appropriate interventions that protect adults while promoting independence and choice.

Apply Making Safeguarding Personal principles, ensuring individuals remain at the centre of safeguarding decision-making and planning.

Develop, implement, and review safeguarding plans that reflect individuals' desired outcomes and minimise identified risks.

Complete Care Act assessments to identify strengths, needs, risks, and eligibility for support.

Develop strengths-based care and support plans in collaboration with service users, carers, families, and partner agencies.

Undertake risk assessments and implement proportionate interventions that support positive outcomes and wellbeing.

Work collaboratively with health services, housing providers, care agencies, police, advocacy services, and other partner organisations.

Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and person-centred approaches throughout all aspects of practice.

Apply the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments and contributing to Best Interests decision-making where appropriate.

Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case records, reports, and documentation.

Contribute to safeguarding meetings, professional forums, and multi-agency discussions to support effective coordinated interventions.
