  • Conducting regular account reviews with key clients to resolve payment issues and improve debtor performance.
  • Identifying high-risk accounts and implementing early intervention strategies to minimise bad debt.
  • Negotiating payment plans and resolving invoice disputes in a professional and commercially focused manner.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer communications, payment commitments and account activity.
  • Escalating unresolved debts where appropriate and supporting legal recovery processes when required.
  • Producing and analysing aged debtor reports, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting through accurate reporting of expected payments.
  • Working collaboratively with Finance, Sales and Operations teams to resolve billing queries and improve collection processes.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, automation projects and system enhancements within the Credit Control function.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior Credit Controllers, sharing best practice across the team.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, financial controls and data protection requirements.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Credit Control professional with a proven track record of delivering strong cash collection results within a fast-paced commercial environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • 4+ years' experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Debt Recovery.
  • Proven success in reducing aged debt and improving cash collection performance.
  • Experience managing high-value or strategically important customer accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of credit control procedures, debt recovery and credit risk management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience producing financial reports and analysing debtor performance.
