What you will do:
- Lead and manage a Families First Team, focusing on Child in Need, safeguarding, and assessment services.
- Provide reflective supervision, case direction, and performance management for social workers and support staff.
- Ensure timely completion of comprehensive child and family assessments, Section 17 Child in Need plans, and Section 47 child protection enquiries.
- Oversee caseload management, risk assessment, decision-making, and ensure statutory compliance for positive outcomes.
- Chair practice discussions, strategy meetings, and multi-agency planning meetings to foster collaboration.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- A management qualification or leadership training is desirable.
- Substantial post-qualification experience within Children’s Social Care.
- Experience managing or supervising practitioners is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation is essential.
- Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
