Best Interest Assessor Social Worker - Telford & Wrekin - £33.33 Hourly

Are you a skilled Best Interest Assessor ready to join a dynamic team? Here is an exciting opportunity to work with Telford & Wrekin Council for a 4-week project starting in October 2025. This rewarding locum position involves full-time hours, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible hybrid structure allowing work from the office, home, and client locations. Earning a superb £33.33 per hour, you will play a vital role in transferring 77 clients from Appointee to Deputyship. A driving licence and car are essential for this role as meetings with clients will be held in Telford and nearby areas.

Meet clients in their respective locations to assess their current needs
Prepare new COP3 reports associating with each client's requirements
Prioritise the transition of 34 selected clients during the first two weeks
Collaborate with other professionals to ensure accurate information is copied from previous mental capacity assessments
Guide clients and their families through the process, ensuring a smooth transition
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of each case for audit and reporting purposes
