What You Will Do

Conduct Best Interest Assessments (BIA) in line with statutory requirements and DoLS legislation.

Visit care homes and hospitals to assess mental capacity and review care arrangements.

Provide independent oversight, ensuring that legal safeguards are robust and rights are protected.

Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, families, and legal representatives to ensure decisions reflect the individual’s best interests.
