What you will do:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs, focusing on physical and sensory abilities, psychological adjustments, and the appropriate use of equipment.
- Work collaboratively with clients and their families to develop essential skills in areas such as mobility, daily living, and communication to enhance their independence.
- Provide rehabilitation training tailored to visually impaired individuals to help them achieve their personal goals.
- Liaise and collaborate effectively with other agencies and service providers to deliver comprehensive care plans.
- Represent the team in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of service plans.
- Support and empower clients by advocating on their behalf and providing specialist knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the documentation of service delivery and improvements.
Essential Criteria:
- FDSC Visual Impairment or equivalent qualified vision rehabilitation specialist.
- Registered with RWPN
