What you will do:

- Perform statutory assessments of children and families under the Children Act, ensuring compliance with sections 17, 47, 20, and 31.
- Create and action care, protection, and support plans tailored to the specific needs of children, promoting their overall welfare.
- Identify safeguarding issues, lead child protection assessments, and collaborate on multi-agency plans.
- Engage directly with children and families, building trust and offering tailored interventions to create resilience and enduring change.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for child protection conferences, looked after reviews, and court appearances.
- Work closely with professionals from various agencies, such as health, education, and law enforcement, to guarantee coordinated support.
- Extend your expertise to support looked after children, focusing on placement stability, care plans, and family connection.
- Take part in legal proceedings, from drafting court statements to testifying as needed.
- Keep accurate and timely records, ensuring alignment with both statutory and professional criteria.
- Champion children’s rights and best interests throughout all stages of planning and decision-making.
