Main duties of the Recovery Nurse:
- Independently and continuously cares for, monitors and guides patients who have had general, regional, block anesthesia
- Prepares infusions and injections with medications in the correct concentration and independently administers mparenterally
- Provides care for patients who come after bear testing, pain management and X-ray examination and need to sDealing with complex life-threatening situations by providing cardiac massage if necessary, manual ventilation, and preparing everything for intubation and immediately alerting the anesthesiologist
- Extubates independently if necessary, administers oxygen and checks vital signs
- Reinsert infusions if necessary.
What You’ll Need:
- Has a Nursing A/HBO-V and Recovery Nursing diploma or other nursing specialization and is BIG registered
- Possesses a BLS certificate, preferably also PALS, ACLS or be willing to obtain these
- Can work independently and professionally and can make decisions within given guidelines
- Knowledge of Dutch, Papiamento, English and Spanish is important
- Is customer-oriented, helpful, tactful and collegial
- Is inventive and has the ability to improvise with regard to problem situations.
