This exciting opportunity is ongoing and offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available. The role specifically focuses on providing tutoring and educational opportunities for children in the criminal justice system, supporting both school-aged children and post-16 youths in the Youth Justice System (YJS).

You will be working Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, utilising your expertise to enhance educational attainment, progress, and attendance while guiding children toward successful onward destinations and preventing them from becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).

What you will do

• Deliver bespoke educational sessions across a range of subjects, adapting content for both core and wider curriculum areas.
• Facilitate Laser Award accreditation through engaging and creative planning, promoting overlapping evidence of learning.
• Design and conduct engaging lessons to motivate young people who face barriers to traditional educational engagement.
• Conduct baseline assessments to close learning gaps, ensuring sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each student.
• Utilise your knowledge of the education system to empower young people with the skills and resources they need for success in both mainstream and alternative education provisions and beyond post-16.
