What you will do:

• Lead, motivate, and manage the Families First/Family Help Team to deliver high-quality support and interventions for children and families.

• Provide regular supervision, coaching, and professional guidance to Social Workers and Family Help Practitioners.

• Allocate and oversee workloads effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently and performance targets are achieved.

• Ensure children and families receive timely, coordinated, and outcome-focused interventions.

• Oversee assessments and family plans, ensuring they are evidence-based, strengths-focused, and tailored to individual needs.

• Work closely with safeguarding teams to identify needs early and manage risks appropriately.

• Promote restorative and relationship-based practice that empowers families to achieve long-term positive change.

• Build and maintain effective partnerships with schools, health services, police, youth justice services, and other key stakeholders.

• Monitor the quality of assessments and interventions through case audits and quality assurance activities.

• Lead service improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes for children and families.

• Manage team resources effectively, ensuring value for money while meeting the needs of local families.

• Contribute to strategic planning and the ongoing development of Early Help and Family Support services.
