What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual and carers' needs and risks, promoting independence, providing support, and preventing harm.
• Collaborate with service users and carers through a person-centred approach, aiming to maximise independence, wellbeing, and choice.
• Apply social work principles and values to guide professional practice while respecting diversity.
• Stay informed about current developments in relevant legislation, national guidance, and frameworks, ensuring prompt and informed decision-making, especially in emergencies.
• Work cohesively within teams of Service Managers, Assistant Service Managers, Senior Social Workers, Social Workers, and Social Care Assessors for holistic service delivery.
• Commit to the development of your professional skills through participation in opportunities offered by the Adult Social Care Academy.
• Maintain a ‘can do’ attitude, striving for cost-effective solutions and high standards of service provision.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Post-qualification experience.
• Robust knowledge of relevant legislation and local authority responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
• Strong communication skills.
