What you will do:

Triage and screen incoming safeguarding referrals, applying threshold criteria to determine appropriate responses
Undertake timely and proportionate risk assessments to identify safeguarding concerns and levels of need
Gather and analyse information from partner agencies to inform evidence-based decision-making
Participate in multi-agency strategy discussions and contribute to safeguarding planning processes
Ensure accurate, timely case recording in line with statutory requirements and local authority standards

Person Specification

Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work (BA/BSc/MA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW)

Registration & Compliance:

Current registration with Social Work England (SWE)
Knowledge of key legislation and statutory guidance, including:
Children Act 1989 and 2004
Working Together to Safeguard Children (2026)
Data Protection Act 2018 / UK GDPR
