What you will do:

Safeguarding and Screening: Receive, screen, and assess referrals relating to the safety and welfare of children and young people.

Information Gathering: Collect and analyse information from partner agencies to assess risk and determine appropriate intervention thresholds.

Case Assessment: Undertake initial assessments and risk analyses using evidence-based practice and sound professional judgement.

Multi-Agency Working: Work closely with Greater Manchester Police, health professionals, education providers, and other safeguarding partners to support informed decision-making.

Risk Management: Evaluate and manage safeguarding risks, escalating concerns where immediate protective action is required.

Decision Making: Contribute to decisions regarding thresholds for intervention, support services, and safeguarding responses.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive records in accordance with statutory and organisational requirements.

Professional Practice: Participate in supervision, maintain professional registration, and uphold high standards of social work practice.
