What You Will Do

Deliver a high-quality, child-centred social work service to Looked After Children and care leavers.

Hold and manage a caseload, ensuring effective care planning, pathway planning, and permanence planning.

Undertake statutory visits, reviews, and assessments in line with legislation and local procedures.

Prepare and present high-quality reports for Looked After Reviews, courts, panels, and permanency meetings.

Work in partnership with foster carers, residential providers, IROs, education, health, and partner agencies to ensure children’s voices are central to decision-making.

Explore and progress permanence options including reunification, long-term fostering, Special Guardianship, and adoption.

Support young people in their transition to independence and adulthood.

Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with safeguarding and data quality standards.

Engage in supervision, training, and continuous professional development.
