Join a dynamic team in North Devon where you can make a tangible difference in the lives of disabled children. We have an urgent opportunity for a Social Worker based in Barnstaple to take on a full-time role for 3 months with 37 hours per week. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid working, although some in-office duties and face-to-face interactions with children in Devon are required. Ideal candidates should have relevant qualifications and a strong background in children-in-care, child protection, or working with children with disabilities. Recent or ongoing case holding experience, particularly with children's disability cases, will be advantageous.

What you will do:
- Carry out assessments and develop care plans for children with disabilities.
- Provide support and advice to families and carers, ensuring children's needs are met.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to safeguard children.
- Manage a caseload, maintaining accurate and timely records.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and reviews to advocate for the child’s best interest.
- Monitor and review each child's progress and adapt care plans as necessary.
