What you will do:

Manage a caseload of looked after children, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met in accordance with the Children Act 1989.

Develop and implement care and permanence plans, focusing on fostering, adoption, or reunification where appropriate.

Conduct and document statutory visits, reviews, and pathway planning, ensuring the child’s voice is central to decision-making.

Prepare reports for Looked After Child reviews, court proceedings, and care planning meetings.
Person Specification:

Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development.

Registration & Compliance: Registered with Social Work England; knowledge of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Care Planning Regulations 2010, and Working Together to Safeguard Children; enhanced DBS clearance required.
