What you will do:

• Undertake timely Best Interests Assessments in line with the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS legislation.
• Complete high-quality, evidence-based assessments and reports.
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring all work is prioritised effectively.
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary professionals and care providers.
• Contribute to maintaining internal assessment capacity, reducing reliance on external providers.
• Ensure practice is compliant with legal frameworks, local policy, and best practice guidance.

Requirements:

• Qualified Professional: Qualified Social Worker, Nurse, OT, or Psychologist with BIA qualification.
• Experience: Experience completing DoLS assessments within a local authority setting.
• Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
• Autonomous Working: Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Liquid Logic or similar case management systems is desirable.
