Pay Rate: PAYE £20.66 - £22.85 per hour / Umbrella £27.69 - £30.67 per hour

Hours: 33 hours per week

Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Children’s Occupational Therapist to join Shropshire Council on a temporary basis. This role involves supporting children and young people with a range of physical, developmental, and sensory needs across the county, helping to promote independence, safety, and improved daily living outcomes.

The position includes a mix of office-based work, home visits, and hybrid working, with 2–3 days per week in the office depending on service needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete occupational therapy assessments for children and young people across Shropshire
• Develop and implement tailored care plans to support independence and functional ability
• Carry out home visits and assess needs within family environments
• Recommend and arrange appropriate equipment, adaptations, and interventions
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with council policies and procedures
• Provide professional guidance to support safe and effective care planning
• Contribute to safeguarding processes where required

Essential Requirements

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with children and young people
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (countywide travel required)
• Strong assessment, communication, and organisational skills

Working Pattern

This role offers hybrid working, typically 2–3 days in the office per week depending on service requirements. The role is countywide and involves travel across Shropshire to complete home visits.
