What you will do:
- To clinically assess patients' communication skills and work collaboratively to provide continuing care for people with communication and/or swallowing difficulties in the community.
- To make a differential diagnosis of communication and swallowing difficulties through specialist formal and informal clinical assessments ensuring all interventions are accurate and appropriately assessed.
- To take responsibility and accountability for the prioritisation and management of your own clinical caseload.
- To aid patients in expressing their own views and needs, enabling them to actively participate in the planning of their treatment.
- To utilise clinical assessments of communication skills to make informed decisions about a patient's capacity to consent to interventions and manage future care.
Requirements:
- Must be registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
- A valid driving licence and access to a car is required to visit clients in the community.
