What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of children and families experiencing complex safeguarding issues.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments to identify strengths, needs, and risks.
  • Develop, implement, and review child protection and intervention plans.
  • Ensure the child's welfare, wishes, feelings, and lived experience are at the core of decision-making.
  • Conduct statutory visits and carry out direct work with children and families.
  • Lead strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with children, parents, carers, and a wide network of partners.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date case records in line with council policies.
  • Prepare reports and assessments for conferences and court proceedings.
  • Provide professional evidence in court and escalate concerns of significant harm.
  • Engage in regular supervision, reflective practice, and professional development.
