What you will do
- Undertake comprehensive case audits, thematic reviews, dip sampling, and practice evaluations across Children's Services.
- Moderate and ensure the quality of audits completed by managers and practitioners, maintaining consistency and accuracy in all processes.
- Analyse a wide range of performance, audit, and practice data to uncover strengths, pinpoint risks, identify trends, and highlight areas needing improvement.
- Evaluate practice based on the Children Act 1989/2004, statutory guidance, safeguarding requirements, and professional standards to ensure top-quality care and compliance.
Roles and responsibilities
- Conduct thorough case audits, practice evaluations, and detailed quality assurance reviews across children's social care services.
- Ensure audits completed by managers and practitioners are consistently moderated and quality assured for accuracy.
- Analyse performance and practice data to bring out strengths, identify risks, highlight trends, and implement improvement plans.
- Evaluate the practice against the Children Act 1989/2004, statutory guidance, safeguarding requirements, and professional standards.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Social Work.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to children's social care and quality assurance.
Experience
- Extensive post-qualification experience within children's social care services.
- Hands-on experience in conducting case audits, practice evaluations, or comprehensive quality assurance reviews.
