What you will do

  • Conduct high-quality, analytical single assessments within statutory timescales, ensuring that they address identified needs and potential risks.
  • Engage in reflective practice, ensuring that the child's voice is consistently captured and recorded.
  • Collaborate effectively with other council divisions, health services, education, police, and sector providers to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Undertake key responsibilities for children on a child protection plan and those at risk while adhering to the London Child Protection Procedures.
  • Work alongside Health, Education, and Targeted Family Support colleagues to assess and address the needs of children and families, preventing statutory safeguarding intervention.
  • Fulfil statutory duties for children in care according to the Care Planning regulations 2010 and Children and Families Act 2014.

About you

This role requires a Social Work degree and current Social Work England registration, with a DBS check for Children. You will need to provide accessible and fair services, uphold council policies, and ensure high standards of records management. You will also promote a high-quality, individual need-led service, adhering to Data Protection, Equalities, Diversity, and Health and Safety standards.
