What you will do
- Undertake Care Act 2014 safeguarding enquiries and assessments involving adults at risk.
- Identify and respond appropriately to concerns relating to abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect.
- Work in a person-centred and strengths-based manner, ensuring the adult’s views and desired outcomes are at the heart of decision-making.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate safeguarding and support plans.
- Assess and manage complex levels of risk while balancing individual autonomy and protection.
- Undertake mental capacity assessments and apply the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Make use of safeguarding planning, review, and risk management processes.
- Collaborate effectively with health services, police, housing, care providers, and other partner agencies.
- Participate in safeguarding strategy discussions, meetings, and multi-agency processes.
- Contribute to safeguarding adults reviews and other statutory reviews.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely case records.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues, carers, and partner organisations.
- Advocate for adults, ensuring their legal rights, dignity, independence, and choice are respected.
