What you will do:

  • Lead and manage a team of social workers, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery for looked after children and their families.
  • Oversee casework, providing guidance and support to social workers to achieve positive outcomes for children in care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, whilst maintaining compliance with local and national policies and standards.
  • Work closely with partner agencies, ensuring a cohesive approach to meeting the needs of children and young people.
  • Use your knowledge and experience to make informed decisions, while also nurturing a collaborative team environment.

Requirements of the Team Manager:

  • Possess a degree in social work or equivalent qualifications.
  • Hold a current registration with Social Work England to narrate your commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards.
  • Demonstrate recent and extensive experience in a managerial position such as Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, or Assistant Team Manager.
  • Exhibit significant frontline experience working in Children's Services, showcasing your expertise and ability to handle complex casework.
