Band 6 CPN - Adults CMHT within Adults Community Mental Health in South Manchester offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our dynamic team, initially on an ongoing locum basis. Earn £26.00 hourly while making a difference in the mental health field. Core hours are typically 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, but we are flexible for the right candidates and can offer different shift arrangements.

What you will do:

  • Assessments & Planning: Undertake mental health and risk assessments and develop care plans under CPA

  • Care Coordination: Manage a caseload of adults with complex mental health needs

  • Interventions: Deliver evidence-based care including medication management and relapse prevention

  • Team Collaboration: Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Practice: Apply assessment, coordination, and risk management skills in a community setting

  • Therapeutic Support: Engage patients in recovery-focused, person-centred care

  • Crisis Management: Respond effectively to crisis situations and make sound decisions

  • Team Contribution: Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to improve patient outcomes

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with relevant CPD

  • Registration & Compliance: Active NMC registration with knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, plus Enhanced DBS

  • Key Skills: Strong communication, crisis management, and caseload management abilities

  • Experience: Post-registration experience in a CMHT or similar setting with CPA coordination
