What you will do:

• Provide operational leadership and management of the Emergency Duty Team, ensuring effective out-of-hours social work provision
• Make complex safeguarding decisions in relation to children and adults at risk, ensuring compliance with statutory frameworks
• Oversee and quality assure assessments, interventions, and recording, maintaining high professional standards
• Lead on critical incident management, including strategy discussions and emergency placements where required
• Supervise, support and develop social workers and EDT practitioners, ensuring ongoing professional development

Person Specification

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
• Professional qualification recognised by Social Work England

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England
• Sound knowledge of key legislation including:
  • Children Act 1989 & 2004
  • Care Act 2014
  • Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Working Together to Safeguard Children
  • Understanding of safeguarding frameworks for both children and adults.
