What you will do:

  • Manage a complex caseload, ensuring thorough assessments, reviews, and care planning aligning with the Care Act 2014 regulations.
  • Lead safeguarding inquiries under Section 42, conducting risk assessments and implementing protection plans to safeguard vulnerable adults.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and supervision to other social workers and social care staff within the locality team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and partner agencies, to deliver coordinated care and support for children and families.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Degree or Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.

Registration & Compliance:

  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding legislation.
  • Understand the Equality Act 2010 and the statutory duties of local authorities.
