Role Overview

Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Children’s Case Management Team (North East) at Shropshire Council.

This role involves managing complex children and family caseloads, undertaking statutory social work duties, and supporting children through Child in Need, Child Protection, PLO, and court proceedings.

The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis, combining office attendance with flexible remote working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload involving CIN, CP, PLO, and court work
  • Undertake statutory home visits and direct work with children and families
  • Complete assessments, care planning, and risk management activities
  • Attend and contribute to core group meetings and multi-agency meetings
  • Prepare high-quality court reports and documentation within required timescales
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case recordings and reports
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with statutory legislation, policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Significant experience within Children’s Social Care
  • Strong experience managing CIN, CP, PLO, and court proceedings
  • Ability to produce clear, analytical court reports and assessments
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and case management skills
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced statutory environment
