What you will do:

Conduct comprehensive Initial Assessments to identify the needs, strengths, and risks affecting children and families.

Undertake assessments under the single assessment framework and ensure all statutory requirements are met.

Initiate Care Proceedings where appropriate and progress cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences.

Develop effective care plans and provide information, advice, and signposting to relevant support services.

Carry out detailed risk assessments to safeguard the welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.

Prepare reports for Child Protection Conferences and actively participate in safeguarding meetings.

Draft high-quality court statements and support applications for Emergency Protection Orders and Care Orders where necessary.

Attend court hearings and provide professional evidence and recommendations.

Undertake home visits to assess living conditions, monitor progress, and support safeguarding interventions.

Chair and facilitate meetings with families, professionals, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Work collaboratively with education, health, police, and other agencies to coordinate effective support for children and families.

Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive case records in line with legislation, policy, and professional standards.
