What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive Child and Family Assessments to identify the needs and strengths of children and their families.
  • Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to safeguard children and support family resilience.
  • Manage a varied caseload, including Children in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Engage in public and private care proceedings, providing expert assessments and reports to inform court decision-making.
  • Collaborate with targeted and intensive family support teams, as well as the Family Group Conference Service to deliver holistic support to families.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and work closely with professionals across the Local Authority to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
