An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Biodiversity Officer to join our dynamic team in Oxford. What you will do:

• Provide expert biodiversity policy and planning advice throughout the development process for both internal and external developments.
• Assess and review biodiversity impact using Defra Biodiversity Metric Spreadsheets to ensure sustainable practices.
• Conduct Habitat Regulations Assessments, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
• Utilise GIS tools, particularly ArcGIS, to analyse and map ecological data effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing your expertise to influence decision-making processes.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of protected species regulations, particularly in relation to licence requirements for bats.
• Engage with the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and other professional bodies to stay abreast of industry standards.
