On behalf of our client — a well-established hotel in the Netherlands forming part of an international hotel group — we are currently seeking a motivated and experienced

Operations Manager.

As Operations Manager, you will hold end-to-end responsibility for the quality of service throughout the hotel, guaranteeing a smooth and premium guest journey across every department. Working closely alongside the General Manager as their trusted deputy, you will steer daily operations, coach and support the Heads of Department, and lift performance through a visible, sleeves-rolled-up leadership style. This position blends hands-on operational accountability with talent development: you will step in for the General Manager when required and take real ownership in an energetic, compact hotel setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safeguard consistent delivery of the guest experience throughout all departments, in accordance with brand and company standards
• Track guest feedback closely and translate insights into tangible service improvements

• Leverage company reporting tools and data to underpin sound operational and commercial decisions
• Boost productivity and maintain tight cost control, including payroll oversight and delivery against financial objectives

• Guide and empower Heads of Department to strengthen engagement, performance, and professional growth
• Set the standard for leadership behaviour, reflecting the values and culture of the organization

• Maintain a safe, secure environment for guests, staff, and visitors, in full compliance with applicable regulations
• Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory obligations, and data protection requirements

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated track record in hotel management (e.g., Food & Beverage Manager or Front Office Manager), ready to make the move up to Operations Manager
• A strongly hands-on operational mentality, with the credibility to lead from the front across F&B (breakfast and events)
• Prior experience leading teams and directing day-to-day hotel operations
• Comfortable and effective within a smaller hotel structure, willing to take ownership across departments
• An uncompromising focus on guest satisfaction and service consistency
• Excellent written and spoken command of both Dutch and English
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands

Preferred Requirements

• Background within an international hotel group
• BHV (emergency response) and Social Hygiene certifications
• Familiarity with the standards of a large international hotel operator
• Proficiency with hotel systems and reporting platforms
