Locum Occupational Therapist - Social Service Paediatrics (Adaptations & Equipment) in Inverness, earning £37 - £38 hourly. Full-time and ongoing opportunity to make a real difference in the Highland region. This role invites you to deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy services to children and young people, working collaboratively within the Health and Social Care team at Highland Council.

What you will do:
- Deliver efficient and effective community-based Occupational Therapy services to children and young people, providing care at the most appropriate location such as home, clinic, nursery, or school, both virtually and in person.
- Collaborate closely with children, their families, and professionals within the Health and Social Care framework in the Highlands to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Engage in skill-sharing sessions with children, parents, carers, education staff, and colleagues to strengthen the support network around each young person.
- Use critical appraisal, audit, and research techniques to ensure services are grounded in clinical effectiveness.
- Play a key role in developing services with a focus on Neurodevelopmental conditions, educating and supporting fellow team members in the Children’s Occupational Therapy Team.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery across the Occupational Therapy and wider Allied Health Professional services.
- Actively participate in supervision and provide support and mentorship to other colleagues and Occupational Therapy students.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist, ideally within the NHS.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
