We are thrilled to offer a unique opportunity for enthusiastic Band 6 Service Delivery Leads in the Eastbourne, Hailsham, Bexhill, and Uckfield area. This ongoing locum position will see you earning £26 - £33 hourly. Here, you will be leading mobile units that collect blood donations from volunteers, ensuring the service runs smoothly and efficiently. Full-time and part-time options are available, with a requirement to work at least 3 shifts a week.

What you will do:
- Lead a team of Healthcare Assistants (HCA) in day-to-day phlebotomy operations.
- Supervise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain high standards throughout shifts.
- Manage clinic operations, ensuring all staff adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines and correct processes.
- Responsible for inventory, monitoring, and escalating stock levels to Service Managers when necessary.
- Act as the primary contact for operational and clinical issues, reporting incidents via inphase.
- Confidently perform venepuncture, stepping in for any failed blood attempts.
- Maintain cleanliness and order within the unit to uphold clinical standards.
- Conduct daily audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Lead with confidence, drawing on strong leadership experience.
Important requirements:
- Current venepuncture, cannulation, and blood drawing competencies are essential. Provide certification alongside your CV and DBS certificate.
- Candidates must be over 25, hold a manual driving licence, and have a clean driving record.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday: 07:50 – 18:10
- Sunday: 10:50 – 15:55
- Saturday appointments may be introduced as the project develops.
