What you will do:

• Refresh all HR policies and procedures to align them with current standards and practices.
• Collaborate effectively with the existing HR team to co-develop and update essential documents.
• Ensure that all HR policies are seamlessly integrated into the Council's digital Co-Pilot system for enhanced employee guidance.
• Work creatively to improve the overall manager experience, particularly focusing on performance management, absence tracking, appraisals, and setting objectives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Human Resources policy development and review.
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and current employment practices.
• Experience collaborating with HR teams to update and implement organisational policies.
• Ability to work within digital environments and support integration of policies into systems such as Co-Pilot.
• Experience improving management processes relating to performance, absence, appraisal, and objective setting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities within a fast-paced environment.
