General Manager - “Premium fitness”

Location: London

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000+

Are you commercially sharp, highly accountable General Manager who wants to take ownership of a premium fitness club and lead it to strong operational and financial performance.

This is a strategic, yet hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance top-line growth with day-to-day execution. You’ll be responsible for the full club, leading teams, driving sales, improving processes, and ensuring exceptional member experience at every level.

Role

Overall responsibility for club performance, operations, and standards.
Growth across all revenue streams, with a strong focus on membership and PT income.
Team performance, accountability, and development.
Member satisfaction, retention, and service quality.
Sales performance and target setting.
Financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and P&L delivery.

Day to day

Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and drive accountability.
Review systems, reporting, and processes to improve efficiency.
Work closely with sales leadership to support growth and incentive schemes.
Analyse financial and operational data, identify trends, and take corrective action.
Maintain a safe, compliant, and well-run working environment.
Ensure all HR, legal, and health & safety requirements are met.

What They want

Strong GM or senior leadership experience in high-end fitness or hospitality.
A proven ability to grow revenue and improve club performance.
Experience setting targets, analysing results, and reporting to founders or senior leadership.
A sales background is essential.
