What you will do:

Undertake safeguarding screening and risk assessments for children involved in family proceedings. This includes analyzing factors such as domestic abuse, neglect, substance misuse, and parental conflict.

Prepare high-quality Section 7, Section 37, and Rule 16.4 reports for the Family Court, offering clear, evidence-based recommendations focused on promoting the child’s welfare.

Represent children's views and wishes within court proceedings, ensuring their voices are integral to assessments and planning.

Collaborate closely with Local Authorities, Police, Health, Education, and legal representatives to gather essential information and coordinate safeguarding strategies.

Qualifications:

Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)

Proof of ongoing professional development in safeguarding, court work, or child protection practice

Registration & Compliance:

Must be registered with Social Work England
-
Strong working knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Family Court procedures, and the Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance

Understanding of Public Law Outline (PLO), private law proceedings, and child-focused practice frameworks
