What you will do:
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and vulnerable adults in your care.
- Manage and effectively engage with young people needing support in education, employment, and training, with a focus on the Islington Care Leaver Youth Trailblazers Programme.
- Foster strong working relationships with key personnel in Children’s Services to ensure young people receive appropriate opportunities swiftly.
- Analyse and utilise data on Education, Employment and Training (EET) outcomes to tailor services effectively.
- Drive the development and creative rollout of the Youth Trailblazer programme, aimed at enriching young people's prospects.
- Partner with employers to create a diverse range of work shadowing and work experience opportunities.
Requirements:
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Proven high performance in education, employment, or training settings, preferably within children’s services.
- Commitment to protecting and safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults.
- Competency in the common core skills and knowledge for working with children, young people, and their carers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and procedures concerning looked-after children and care leavers.
- Insight into the challenges facing vulnerable children and young people, such as attachment and developmental trauma, and strategies to overcome them.
- The ability to clearly communicate strategies that reflect inclusive and personalised learning.
