CNC Operator
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary: Up to £27,700 DOE per annum
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
The Role
Our client is a growing and well-established specialist manufacturer, currently looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their production team in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate CNC routing and cutting machinery
- Read and interpret production paperwork, technical drawings and specifications
- Safely load and unload materials and completed components
- Set up and operate CNC machinery for drilling and routing processes
- Set machinery to complete full programme cycles for the production of large quantities of components
- Monitor CNC machinery during operation and make adjustments where required
- Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure required tolerances are achieved and accurately recorded
- Carry out daily cleaning and routine light maintenance of CNC machinery
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards, policies and procedures
- Work safely and responsibly at all times
Experience & Skills Required
- Certificate or diploma in an engineering discipline
- Demonstrable experience operating CNC machinery
- Experience with CNC programming and CAD/CAM systems
- Good computer skills
- Experience interpreting and editing FANUC control systems
- Ability to use fixtures, tooling and calibration equipment correctly
- Experience carrying out tooling offsets and tool changes
- FLT licence would be advantageous
