We are working with a high-achieving secondary school in the LS12 area of Leeds, who are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience and develop the skills needed to progress into teaching or education.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced teachers to support students across the secondary curriculum, helping them build confidence and achieve their potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
• Providing targeted learning support and interventions
• Supporting students within your specialist subject area
• Assisting teachers with lessons and classroom activities
• Helping students stay engaged and make progress
• Supporting students with additional learning needs
• Building positive relationships with students
• Gaining valuable experience across the wider school environment

Who We're Looking For

We welcome graduates with a 2:1 degree or above in subjects relevant to the secondary curriculum, including:

• English
• Maths
• Science
• History
• Geography
• Psychology
• Sociology
• Or another relevant subject

Previous experience working with young people is desirable and could include school experience, tutoring, mentoring, volunteering or youth work.
