Graduate SEN Primary Teaching Assistant

Leeds, LS13 | £500–£560 per week | Full-time | Immediate Start

Are you a Graduate looking to take your first steps into a career in primary education?

We are working with a high-achieving, Ofsted-rated primary school in the LS13 area of Leeds, who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on primary school experience, develop your SEN knowledge and build the skills needed to progress into teaching.

The Role

You will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and become more independent.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group SEN support
• Supporting targeted learning interventions
• Assisting the class teacher with classroom learning
• Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
• Working alongside the SENCO and wider teaching team

Who We're Looking For

We welcome graduates with a genuine interest in primary education and working with children, particularly those with degrees in:

• Primary Education
• Early Childhood / Early Years
• Childhood Studies
• Psychology
• Sociology
• SEN / Special Educational Needs
• Health & Social Care
• Childcare or related subjects

Previous experience with children is desirable and could include school experience, childcare, social care, volunteering, mentoring or university placements.
